The Indian Embassy and Maurya Kala Parisar, Kuwait will be holding an event to encourage Hindi and Hindi Literature. The event which was a part of Hindi Diwas efforts and which was scheduled for 30 September has been rescheduled to 14 October, at the Indian Embassy Auditorium.
The event, to be attended by Ambassador or India H.E. Sunil Jain will include Dinkar Poetry Competition started by Maurya Kala Parisar in the name of Rashtra Kavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar and also felicitation by Embassy of one Hindi Achiever from each school based on their Academic Performance in Hindi. There will also be a Mushaira / Kavi Sammelan by poets from Kuwait following the Award function at 6pm.
90 students from 12 schools will be competing for 9 prizes in 3 Categories.
The event schedule is as below:
Competition: 1pm to 6pm
Award Distribution: 6pm to 7pm
Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira: 7pm to 9:30pm
The categories and schedule for the competition is as follows:
12.45pm: Category (B): Class VI to VIII : Recitation of Hindi poetry by students.
3.30pm: Category (C): Class IX to XI : Recitation of Hindi poetry by students.
5pm: Categories (A): Class IX to XI: Original poetry in Hindi by students
Entries for the competition are closed. Teachers, Parents, Family and Friends of competitors and others with taste of poetry are encouraged to attend the sessions.
Competition participants must report at the registration desk at least 15 minutes before the start of the session.
Registration Desk Timing 12.15 to 6.15 PM.
