Marthoma Syrian Church of Malabar India, the democratically elected church's Global trustee advocate Prakash P.Thomas was honored by the Salmiya Residents Association in Salmiya.The honoring program was presided over by the Salmiya parish priest Rev.Sunil Joy.
Jacob Channapetta a former Diocesan council member welcomed the audience. Former Sabha council members Rajan Daniel, Lalu Thomas, Roy varghese, and Mandalam member CM Philip, Prasad Abraham varghese, Adv. Georgy, Mathew Eapen, Jacob Chandy and Parimanam Manoj spoke at the felicitation meeting.
Adv.Prakash is based in the headquarters of the church at Thiruvalla. He is currently visiting to participate in the christmas celebrations in the affiliated parishes in the Kuwait. There are around 6 Mar Thoma churches in Kuwait.
Adv.Prakash is a lawyer by profession and he is also the President of National Forum for Peoples Rights (NFPR) which is affiliated with the World human rights organization. Adv. Prakash is a worldly well known human rights activist and a social and spiritual leader. He has been bestowed a several state awards one of the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi award from the government.
