Marina Hotel recently hosted authentic ‘Cuban night’ at the Six Palms restaurant on 4 and 5 October. The event was held in the presence of a number of dignitaries including Ambassador of Cuba to Kuwait H.E. Andres Gonzalez Garrido, Mr. Nabil Hammoud, General Manager of Marina Hotel Kuwait and the management team.
Well-renowned Chef Ciro Eddy Fernandez Monte, President of the Federation of culinary association of the Republic of Cuba, and Chef Odlavin M Castellanos, specially flew in from Cuba for this occasion. Together with the Marina Hotel culinary team, they presented Cuban signature dishes, displaying in all eye catching details and a menu of flavorsome and artistically presented Cuban varieties embodying a Caribbean flair and incorporating ingredients rarely tasted outside of Cuba.
Commenting on the occasion, the Cuban Ambassador Garrido said that he was very happy to be a part of this event and that it is a good opportunity for both Kuwaiti citizens and residents of Kuwait to experience the taste of Cuba.
The distinctive Cuban cuisine, revealed at the Six Palms Restaurant included some of Cuba’s tastiest classic and modern dishes such as black beans, Picadillo, Ropa Vieja and Arroz con pollo.
The event successfully reflected the Cuban touch through festive and original décor and colorful Cuban modern art embodying the spirit of Havana. Guests enjoyed the gourmet dinner, accompanied by traditional salsa tunes from Cuba.
