Hawally securitymen issued 166 traffic citations, impounded three vehicles and arrested 160 persons who failed to present valid identification documents, 14 who violated the Residency Law, 17 who were reported absconding, eight wanted by law for involvement in security cases, one involved in a criminal case, seven peddlers and four in abnormal condition.
All these measures were taken when the officers carried out a surprise inspection campaign in the governorate recently.Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Abdullah Al-Muhanna led a team of officers who conducted surprise security crackdowns in Shuwaikh Industrial Area, leading to the issuance of 540 traffic citations and confiscation of 98 vehicles due to various violations.
Also, a team from Jahra Security Directorate recovered four vehicles which were reported stolen at the police stations in Waha, Nuqra, Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh and Jahra.
The team arrested three Bedoun youths for the possession of an undisclosed quantity of heroin and hashish found in their car. A Kuwaiti was also arrested for possession some narcotic pills and hashish. Security sources revealed the suspect tried to avoid a checkpoint and his behavior alerted the officers who inspected him thoroughly.
