Police have taken into custody an unidentified Ethiopian man for sheltering 7 compatriot runaway maids and running a fake domestic labor recruiting office, reports a local daily. According to a security source, the arrest came after the man placed an advertisement through newspapers and some social media websites offering domestic helpers for work on daily or weekly basis. Securitymen raided the office and arrested the man and the maids on whom absconding report had been filed by their sponsors.
During interrogation the maids said their boss was also having sex with them. For his part, Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Passports Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah told the daily there is a plan to launch extensive campaigns to shut down fake maids recruiting offices which have sprouted in various parts of the country.
