MahaQuizzer ME - Kuwait 2015 by NITCAA Kuwait, a roaring success

MahaQuizzer ME – Kuwait 2015, the solo open general written quiz contest was organized by the Alumni Association of National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NITCAA) on 30 January, 2015. This was an extension of the Mahaquizzer, conducted simultaneously across various Indian cities, by Karnataka Quiz Association, Bangalore. The quiz was open to all above 10 years of age as on 1 February 2015 who registered online, irrespective of their nationality or affiliation.

The 90 minutes MahaQuizzer ME conducted in Kuwait was attended by 238 people in the age range from 10 to 70 years. Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS), Fahaheel Al Watanieh Indian Private School (DPS), Ahmadi and United Indian School (UIS), J’leeb Shyoukh were the venues at which the quiz was conducted from 2:00 to 3:30 pm.

The written quiz was well researched by the Karnataka Quiz Association, Bangalore and happens to be the first event of the 'Festival of Quizzes 2015' organized by NITCAA every year. Starting with Maha Quizzer and culminating with TRISHNA 9 in April 2015, the flagship event, the Quiztival Season was conceived by NITCAA with an intention to inculcate, develop, spread and sustain the passion for knowledge and inquisitiveness, especially among the younger generation.

The ever growing popularity of Maha Quizzer since its inception in 2013 is evident from the increase in participation over the last three years. The winner with the maximum score shall be conferred the title 'MahaQuizzer ME - Kuwait 2015', followed by 2nd and 3rd places as well. 

To promote Quizzing culture in all walks of life, special prizes are also given to ladies and students (junior and senior) and for the youngest participant. The winners will be intimated personally and the list of winners will be published in the NITCAA website within a month.
