MP Saud Al-Hareeji has presented a proposal to ease procedures for Syrians in Kuwait, considering the current situation in their country. He suggested that Syrians who have no residence permits should be given temporary residence for two years, renewable.
He said Syrians should have the right to apply for family visas for their first-degree relatives, and they should be exempted from conditions related to salary and professions. He pointed out Syrians who violated the law must be exempted from deportation due to the worsening security situation in their home country.
He added Zakat House and the Helping Patients Fund must provide assistance to Syrians residing in Kuwait while the Charity Fund for Special Education should grant educational assistance, such as tuition fees, to the children of these Syrians.
