MP Al-Rowai elected as Parliament Secretary

MP Dr. Ouda Al-Rowai has been elected as National Assembly Secretary after receiving 25 votes to 21 for MP Waleed Al-Tabtabai and 18 for MP Safa Al-Hashem in the second round of voting.

In the first round of voting, Al-Hashem was ahead by 24 votes, while Al-Rowai received 21 votes, and Al-Tabtabai got 19 votes.

Born in 1968, Al-Rowai earned a PhD in Counseling Psychology and is currently a member of the teaching staff and head of the psychological consultation unit at Kuwait University. A former MP in 2013, Al-Rowai also works as an Advisor in Kuwait Awqaf Public Foundation and the Ministry of Justice, and he is also a member of the Kuwait Human Rights Society and American Psychological Association.
