Lu & Lu Hypermarket, the premier lifestyle shopping destination in Kuwait, launched 'Taste of the World' promotion, featuring cuisines and food products from around the world, at all three branches of the Hypermarket.
The 11-day food festival was inaugurated by renowned Indian Master Chef Ripudaman Handa, on 23 April at the Hypermarket's Al-Rai outlet, in front of a large crowd of Lu & Lu customers, well-wishers, staff and top management of the Hypermarket.
The promotion, which will run till 3 May, provides a unique experience for food lovers in the country to enjoy the exquisite tastes of cuisines from around the world. In addition to witnessing the cooking creativity of Indian Master Chef Handa, and getting the opportunity to meet and have autographs signed by him, shoppers will also have the opportunity to see demonstrations by celebrity chefs in other cuisines, including Arabic, Chinese, Continental, Filipino, Japanese, Italian and Thai.
Besides observing the talented chefs crafting delightfully scrumptious foods using ingredients ranging from ordinary to the exotic, shoppers will also have opportunity to participate in several interactive experiences and competitions during the 'Taste of the World' campaign. Among the events planned for the promotion period are junior and senior chef contest, wow the Master Chef contest, cooking competitions, chit-chat with Master Chef and a taste-and-win contest.
Other highlights during 'Taste of the World' campaign is the creation of the longest pizza in Kuwait at 101 meters held in association with Pizza Inn, and the making of a record 20 meter long pasta.
Taste of the World promotion is part of Lu & Lu Hypermarket’s initiative of regularly interacting with their customers, to discern their preferences and fine-tune their product offerings and services, in order to provide shoppers with best retail shopping experience in the country.
