LuLu Hypermarket felicitates winners of Food Expo competitions

LuLu Hypermarket, the leading retailer in the region, held a prize distribution ceremony on 31 March to felicitate winners of the various competitions that were organized during the 'Lulu Food Expo 2018’.

The ceremony saw the first place winner walk away with KD125 worth of gift voucher, while second and third place winners were presented with KD75 and KD50 worth of gift vouchers respectively.

The 'LuLu Food Expo 2018', which was held from 21 to 31 March, saw tens of thousands of shoppers visit LuLu  Hypermarket outlets to enjoy the promotions and participate in various competitions. One of the highlights of the Food Expo 2018 was the interaction for shoppers with celebrity Chef Vicky Ratnani who inaugurated the event on the first day. 

Since the start of competitions on 20 March, amateur as well as seasoned chefs sparred against each other in culinary contests that saw the creation of flavorful and imaginative dishes. Other competitions included Cookery Contests, Junior Chef Contests, Wow The Master Chef Contests, Taste & Win Contests, Make and Eat Competition, Kitchen Queen Contests and Cook Without Fire Competition.

Aside from competitions, other highlights on display during the festival were record-breaking food presentations, including a giant muffin, the longest kebab sandwich, the longest shabiya, the longest cake, the biggest Orange Cake, the longest shawarma, a pizza mountain and the longest basboosa.
