Louis Rodrigues, well-known for his role in popularizing Konkani language and culture in the Gulf, passed away on Tuesday, 7 February at the age of 62. He is recognized for co-founding the Gulf Voice of Mangalore in 2008, a popular reality show. He was the first organizer of 'India Day' in Kuwait in 1997, and went on to help organize several Konkani shows.
He leaves behind his wife Rita Rodrigues, daughter Lolita, son Russel Rodrigues, son-in-law Sudhi Fronteiro and grandchildren Syona Ballerine and Lestyn Kainan.
The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 9 at 3 pm at the Holy Family Cathedral, Kuwait City.
