Landmark Group recently announced its winners at the ninth Art Olympiad held this year. The event witnessed the participation of 180 students from 18 well reputed schools across Kuwait.
Famous Kuwaiti artists Asad Bunashi, Maha Al Mansoor and Mariam Al Mulla judged all participating paintings and selected a total of eight winners.
The 9th Art Olympiad event is a part of Landmark Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy to elevate the capabilities and skills of youth in Kuwait.
This year’s competition included two key age categories 9-11 and 12-14 years. Each of these categories had a total of three winners. In addition to these 6 awards, there were three special prizes in categories of, recognition for the Most Creative, Most Colorful and Best Design & Imagination paintings
Commenting on the event, Saibal Basu, Chief Operating Officer of Landmark Group Kuwait said: “I would like to extend my sincerest wishes to the winners; and would also like to acknowledge the efforts of all the talented students who participated in this competition. Their creativity is a reflection of their hard work and artist vision which illustrates their views towards their surroundings. Once again we are proud and excited to host the Art Olympiad year after year as it proves to be a great success.”

The winners announced under the age group of 11 to 9 were, Shreya Nath from Fahaheel Al Wataniya Indian Pvt. School, first place, Najla from Ajial Bilingual School, second place and Nawada Dilshani from Carmel School, third place.
Under the age group of 12 to 14, Mariam Zaghloul from Kuwait National English School won the first place, Ashwin Ramasundar from Fahaheel Al Wataniya Pvt. School, second place and Aysha Firosh from Fahaheel Al Wataniya Pvt. School, third place.
The creative drawing competition prize was awarded to Nawaf Ahmad from Ajial School, the colorful drawing competition prize went to Meghna P R from Indian Educational School and the Design and imagination award went to Safya Al Merri from The English School, Fahaheel.
The children were provided with a craft pack that included a drawing sheet and a variety of art materials such as paints, pencils and crayons. The winners received a prize, certificates and trophies, while all participating schools were given a plaque of appreciation.
