Out to promote and popularise products and food from Asian countries, LU&LU Hypermarket inaugurated the Festival of Philippines and Far East 2014’ at its Dajeej branch on 5 June 2014 at 7.00 pm. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Philippines’ Ambassador H.E. Lamberto V. Monsanto accompanied by other special guests; Labor Attaché Cezar Chavez, Labor Attaché Florencia "Ching" Ardivilla and Welfare Officer Norlita P. Lugtu. The management team of LU&LU Hypermarket were also in attendance along with loyal customers and well-wishers.
Specially organized for the ceremony was a beautiful cultural dance that thrilled the audience followed by a fashion show. Similar cultural shows that displayed the best aspects of the customs of the Philippines and other Far East countries were staged over three days for shoppers and guests.
The festival showcases some of the best quality and specially imported products from the Philippines and Far East Countries such as Vietnam, China, Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand to name a few. This promotion is happening in all LU&LU hypermarket outlets and is from June 4 to 14.
Aside from celebrating the culinary heritage of these counties, the festival encourages local and ethnic communities to shop at LU&LU Hypermarket for the products to cook delicious meals.
