A Kyrgyz folklore troupe offered a theatrical performance at Abdel-Hussein Abdel-Redha Theater on Wednesday night as part of the 18th young cultural festival, being organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL).
The performance portrayed a panoramic view of the cultural identity, heritage and traditions of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan through singing, dancing and music, said Saud Al-Masoud, director of NCCAL's music and popular heritage sector.
"Through such activities, NCCAL seeks to shed light on the cultures of friendly countries with a view to bringing their people closer to the Kuwaiti people," he pointed out.
Al-Masoud added that he had the chance of watching this performance during his visit to Kyrgyzstan. On her part, director of the young cultural festival Maryam Salmin said that nearly 40 of the 500 members of the prestigious Kyrgyz troupe took part in the performance.
