National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim on Friday stressed that Kuwaitis will vanquish "black terrorism and a sedition project" targeting their country. Al-Ghanim made the statement following the blast that hit Al-Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Al-Sawaber neighborhood in Kuwait city during Friday noon prayer.
Several worshipers were killed and others injured in the blast, according to the Interior Ministry. There are mere two choices, either sedition and terrorist plans manage to divide the Kuwaiti people taking toll on their unity, or Kuwaitis will win the decisive confrontation, Al-Ghanim noted.
He emphasized the strong unity of the Kuwaiti people manifested today. Kuwaitis, led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, hurried to the scene of the blast, and to blood donation banks, conveying immediate messages of synergy, solidarity, cohesion and unity.
