A survey carried out by an anonymous source shows a Kuwaiti citizen is spending between five and six hours per day on smart phone, while the average international time is just three hours, reports Al- Qabas daily.
The daily added the number of times a person checks the phone until the time he/she goes to bed is between 22 and 44 times a day.
The study, which included a wide segment of people except children and the elderly, affirmed 67 percent of the youths are glued to their phones minutes after they wake up and stay of the social networking websites throughout the day whether they are at home, at the place of work or at university or even driving.
The sources added, 13 percent of Kuwaitis are addicted to their mobile phones, meaning they use it more than 100 times a day. The sources also mentioned the danger of this addiction —anxiety, waste of time and depression.
