Kuwait Youth national team won on Friday first place in the individual competition of the Fifth Arab Youth Bowling Championship in Doha, which included eight Arab teams.
Kuwaiti bowler Asseel Al-Roumi won first place with 1,394 points followed by Qatari Bader Al-Thiyab with 1,351 points and third came Qatari Jassem Al-Muraikhi with 1,303 points.
AFC President and Chairman of Kuwait Bowling Club Sheikh Talal Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah and Qatari and Arab Bowling federations Abdulsalam Abbas crowned the top winners with their medals.
In a statement to KUNA, Sheikh Talal dedicated this achievement to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince and the Kuwaiti people.
Sheikh Talal expressed happiness over Kuwaiti players' performance, urging players to continue winning more medals in the rest of competitions and return with the championship trophy, being the defending champion of the tournament which was held in Egypt in 2012.
Tomorrow the doubles competition will take place, and players like Asseel Al-Roumi and Mustapha Al-Mosawi will partner up, along with Abdulrahman Suwaid and Ali Hisham will partner up for competitions.
The chamionship, will last for five days, with 32 players representing eight countries: Kuwait, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Iraq and Yemen, in addition to the host nation Qatar.
