Chairman of Kuwait's International Islamic Charitable Organization Dr. Abdullah Al-Matouq announced Thursday that Kuwait would host, on November 26, the ‘eighth annual conference for effective partnership’ for exchanging information for enhancing humanitarian action.

He said in a press release that the conference, named ‘Humanity against Hunger’, would be held in partnership with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

He mentioned that there would be a humanitarian campaign to provide a billion meals to feed people who have subjected to violence around the world. A recommendation in this respect had been issued by the international conference for dialogue among religions, held in Washington last February.

The forthcoming conference will shed light on increasing awareness about the importance of humanitarian partnership in facing dangers of hunger and its devastating effects around the world and sound the alarm that a hungry person cannot contribute to development to his (her) society.
