Kuwait's economy is expected to grow between 3-3.5 percent this year, the Gulf Arab state's central bank governor said on Wednesday.

Mohammad al-Hashel also told reporters on the sidelines of a meeting of Gulf Arab central bankers that there would be less non-performing loans in Kuwait this year compared to 2013.

Analysts in a Reuters poll in January expected GDP growth of 2.8 percent in Kuwait in 2013 and 3 percent in 2014.
