July 20, 2015, 1:38 pm

Kuwaiti and expatriate Muslims in the country are celebrating Eid-al-Fitr with delight and special festivities. Eid-al-Fitr, which marks the end of fasting during the Holy Month of Ramadan, is considered one of the biggest events in the Islamic calendar. People gather to hold special prayers and express their gratitude to Allah the Almighty for helping them successfully fulfil their religious obligations during Ramadan. While individual celebrations vary from region to region, the high point of the holidays is for families and friends to gather together for exchanging greetings, sharing meals and giving each other gifts.
