The State of Kuwait called Tuesday on UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to bear responsibility and force Israel to submit a report on human rights conditions in the occupied Arab territories since Israel was the occupation force.

In a UNHRC Universal Periodic Review mechanism group session, the remarks were made by Kuwait Permanent Representative in United Nations in Geneva Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghunaim.

Al-Ghunaim called for an immediate and unconditioned end to Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, demanding the international community to bear its responsibilities and hold accountable those responsible in gross and systematic daily violations of human rights to Palestinians under the occupation.

The ambassador said UN reports submitted for review observed grave Intel and tremendous amount of violations, including child violations in the occupied territories, where Israeli authorities used them as human shields and abusing others in jails.

The Kuwaiti diplomat stressed that such violations by Israel against the Palestinian people are countless and that Israel is aware of magnitude of their crimes, which was evident through Israel's disregard and cutting off all types of communications or even cooperation with United Nations on human rights mechanism, in order to avoid documenting crimes and violations they carried out.

Al-Ghunaim expressed regret for Israel's stalling in bearing its responsibilities under international law and the Fourth Geneva Convention as a state based on occupation.
