Kuwait announces Friday is first day of Eid Al-Fitr

Kuwait's crescent sighting authority announced Thursday that tomorrow Friday is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr. The authority met this evening to sight the Shawwal crescent of the Islamic year 1436, Vice-President of the Court of Cassation and President of the constitutional court Judge Yousef Al-Mutawa said in a press statement, adding that the authority confirmed Friday is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr after sighting the Shawwal crescent.

Al-Mutawa expressed the authority's congratulations to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the Prime Minister, all citizens and residents, and Arab and Islamic nations on the advent of Eid Al-Fitr.

He also prayed to Allah Almighty to bring back this blessed occasion for long lasting years with Kuwait blessed with further progress, prosperity and development.

Meanwhile, Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al-Sanea expressed his most congratulations to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the Prime Minister, the political leadership, all citizens, residents, Arab and Islamic nations on the advent of Eid Al-Fitr. Al-Sanea also prayed to Allah Almighty to extend the grace of safety and security on Kuwait under the leadership of His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, and His Highness the Prime Minister. He also wished safe and peaceful Eid Al-Fitr for Kuwait, and for Arab and Islamic nations and people.
