Visit by Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim due on Sunday would significantly contribute to solidifying the bilateral relations between the two GCC countries.
This visit implies particular importance because it coincides with critical regional and international circumstances that warrant continuing coordination at the regional level, said Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Sheikh Azzam Al-Sabah in a statement to KUNA on Saturday.
Parliamentary diplomacy plays a key role in boosting external policies' objectives by the GCC States, Sheikh Azzam pointed out. Parliament Speaker Al-Ghanim is due in the Kingdom of Bahrain on Sunday on a three-day visit, to be paid in response to an invitation by his Bahraini counterpart, Ibrahim Al-Mulla.
Speaker Al-Ghanim, during the visit, will meet senior leaders of the kingdom. Kuwait and Bahrain are member States of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), founded in the early 80s with aim of cementing cooperation among the regional countries in diverse realms.
