The Asian Games bound Kuwait National cricket team comprising of only Kuwaiti Nationals have landed in a victorious note from Malaysia where they played 9 matches with local teams.
The enthusiastic Kuwaiti cricket team having the distinction of being the first Arab country ever to participate in the forthcoming Asian games at Incheon, South Korea played to their potential as they had to struggle hard in taking to the likes of highly experienced local Malaysian teams during their 11 days stay in Kuala Lumpur.
The Kuwaiti team is highly indebted to Malaysian Cricket Association for arranging matches on village green recreation grounds and the friendly cricket match was played in a cordial atmosphere where the young Kuwaiti lads had the opportunity to brush their skills against their talented and experienced opponents.
Kuwait Cricket team under the leadership of Mahmoud Bastaki had a serious work out at Kinrara nets where the team got used with various turf wickets and the young lads keeping up the good spirits were exposed to playing some tough games to match International standards.
The team is to fly to Incheon shorty after a couple of weeks.
Kuwait Cricket team will play its first match against Nepal on September 27th and will clash with Maldives on September 29th.
The victorious Kuwaiti team were given a warm welcome at Kuwait International airport by high profile Kuwait Cricket officials, Executive Council members and other cricket lovers.
