Kuwait Municipality is set to execute several projects to boost economy and commerce as well as attract tourists to the capital, Kuwait City. The projects' plan includes establishing a center for entertainment, culture and education in Abdullah Al-Ahmad Street, the municipality's Director-General Ahmad Al-Manfouhi told KUNA on Wednesday.
Another vital project is the first business zone in Mirqab residential area, where foreigners could have full ownership of tax-free residences, he added. On her part, the municipality's deputy director-general for projects Engineer Nadia Al-Shereeda said the Abdullah Al-Ahmad street projects will involve a residential area and a heritage village to showcase Kuwait's history.
She added that it will also include a center with cinemas, a conference area, an ice-skating ring, restaurants, coffee shops and other means of entertainment. Al-Shereeda also noted that the municipality will develop Souk Al-Mubarakiya traditional market and its surrounding areas.
