Kuwait, India eye closer military ties

The Kuwaiti army's chief of staff Lieutenant General Mohammad Al-Khoder held talks on Monday with Indian Minister of Defense Nirmala Sitharaman, focusing on plans to boost cooperation between both nations.

Al-Khoder, who is on a visit to the world's second most populous country, discussed with the Indian official issues of common concern, read a statement by the Kuwaiti ministry of defense. The encounter, which brought together a number of Kuwaiti and Indian military officials, also tackled issues germane to joint military drills between the two allies.
