Kuwait, Iraq seek closer ties

First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi.

Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met here on Sunday with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi on ways and means of developing and bolstering bilateral relations in all fields.

During the meeting, they also discussed cooperation and coordination over various issues of mutual interest and the latest regional and international developments.

The talks were attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of Finance Abdulmohsen Al-Madaj, Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq Ghassan Al-Zawawi, and several other Kuwaiti officials.
