Lebanese internal security forces arrested two persons suspected of killing two Kuwaiti citizens in their apartment in Kahala area, eastern Beirut, official news agency reported Friday.
It said the security authorities noted that the arrestees confessed of killing the two Kuwaiti citizens with a hammer with the aim of stealing them. They identified the Syrians only with their years of birth, 1975 and 1977.
Meanwhile, a source at Rafiq Al-Hariri Airport, who asked not to be named, told KUNA the bodies of the two Kuwaitis, in their 60s, would be flown back to Kuwait tomorrow.
Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain and Qatar have warned citizens against traveling to Lebanon, and urged nationals in the country to leave.
