September 24, 2016, 10:53 am

KidZania Kuwait, the exciting kid-sized metropolis, has launched the first Science Academy in KidZania in partnership with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) on 22 September. Kids visiting the KFAS Science Academy will be inspired to try different fun experiments in the fields of science, math, innovation and technology.

Fernando Medroa, Vice President of Leisure and Entertainment at M.H. Alshaya Co., said: “We are very proud of our new partnership with KFAS, which is a leader in the development of scientific research in Kuwait. Launching a Science Academy in KidZania reinforces our objective of stimulating the hearts and minds of children while also supporting their learning curriculum in schools. On listening to the feedback of our young customers, we realized that a science academy was a much-needed activity to broaden kids’ understanding of science and encourage them to inquire, try and test out its principles in a fun way.”

Dr. Salam Al-Ablani, Director of Scientific Culture Directorate at KFAS, said: “We at KFAS are excited to reach out to young science lovers in such an exciting and vibrant atmosphere to help create the next generation of young Kuwaiti scientists. We are proud to be pioneers in launching the first Science Academy in KidZania theme parks worldwide.”

The new Academy will allow kids to start exploring science using the Scientific Research Method: they begin the activity by discussing the theory of the experiment they will conduct, then perform the experiment, and finally compare the results with other young scientists to reach a group conclusion.

The Science Academy in KidZania is now open for visitors and is guaranteed to inspire and instill passion in kids for the fields of science, math, innovation and technology.
