Kala (Art) gives Mr. Abbobaker a grand farewell

Kala(Art) Kuwait organized a grand farewell for its senior member Mr. Aboobaker, the ex- president of Kala (Art) Kuwait and one of its advisory members, who is leaving after completing 34 years in Kuwait.

The event was held on Thursday, 23 February at the Indian Community Hall, Abbasiya. Eminent personalities from various Art and Cultural organizations in Kuwait were present. The function was chaired by the Kala (Art) Kuwait President Samkuty Thomas and Joint Secretary Sivakumar welcomed the audience. In his Presidential speech, Mr. Samkurtty said that 34 years of Mr. Aboobaker’s unprecedented social service has made him very popular among the Keralite Communities in Kuwait, which is considered as a show of respect to him.

In his speech, Adv. John Thomas mentioned the various areas where Mr. Aboobaker as an individual has become successful because of his humbleness and simplicity, followed by Mr. Afzaal Khan, K.P. Balakrishnan, E Karunakaran, Chacko Georgekutty, C Bhaskaran, Rajagopal Idavalath, Hameed Keloth, Iqbala Kuttamangalam, Raju Sakhariya, Mukesh V.P, Babuji Batheri, Johny Kunnil, Hamsa Payyannur, Raghunathan Nair, Jaison Joseph, Basheer Batha, Checil Ramapuram, Vinod Valiparampil, Sunny Mannarcad, Anil P. Alex, Muhammed Riyaz, Ramakrishnan,  K V Mujeeb, A M Hassan, Binu, Sukumaran, K Hassan Koya, Shammy John and Vani Santhosh.

Kala (Art) Kuwait General Secretary Sunil Kumar, Treasurer Johny Kalamachal, Program Convener Sameer Vellayil and Central committee member Thasleena Najeem were present on the dais and Babu Chackola, K G Prabhakaran, T K Narayanan, John Arts, Sasikrishnan, Haneef, Shereef Thamarassery, and Shahul Bapur were also present among the audience. Ragesh P D addressed the vote of thanks and Aneecha Shyjith performed the compeering. Rathidas, Santhosh, Bharathan, Suresh K V, Ashraf Vithura, Sajeesh Joseph, A Mohanan, Vishnu Raj, Aneesh Varghese and Vibin Kalabhavan were among the programme organizers.   

A documentary illustrating the real life story of Mr. Aboobaker was displayed during the function and the show ended with an Orchestra presented by Biju Thikkodi, Rafi, Namitha, Sneha and Sajith.
