Kuwait Wayanad Association (KWA) held a Christmas New year Celebration (VARAVELPP 2017) on 12 and 13 January at a beautiful resort spot in Kabd. A large number of members belonging to different places of Wayanad District participated with their families.
KWA Advisory board Sri. Akbar wayanad inaugurated the event, encouraging the participants to use the occasion to spread the spirit of love and friendship among the Association member, and as a symbolic act to convey this message, spread flowers high in the air.
The arrangements and activities of the celebration were organized by Program Convener and KWA Joint. Secretary Blesson Chulliyode, Justin Jose (joint convener ), and all Executive Committee Members and Zonal representatives have contributed significantly for the successful event.
The games and cultural programs were orchestrated collectively by Advisory Board member Sri. Reji Chirayath and Jomon Jose respectively. Mr. Shinu,Joseph and Mr. Saidalavi was highly appreciative of their efforts on commuting transport from remote areas to event place.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of the games by the Office Bearers. The event was an enjoyable and memorable experience for all who participated. It was also notable for the excellent friendliness among the members and the active participation of all including women and children in the games and programs of the event. A funny auction of remaining food/stationary items was another fun activity for all participants. Mubarak kambrath (KWA Secretary) on behalf of the executive committee conveyed his regards to all joined on this event and ensured that KWA is committed to continue such events for building solid relations between the society members. All requested the same support of entire KWA members for successful completion of all social and cultural activities planned by KWA for the year 2017-18.
