KMCC Mega Medical Camp 'Spandanam 2017' helps thousands of poor expatriates

Kuwait Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC) Medical wing organized a mega Medical Camp 'Spandanam 2017', at the Indian Integrated School (E.Ahammed Saheb Nagar). The camp, held in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Kuwait KMCC, was a pioneer event of its kind and a consolation to thousands of Indian patients. Around 1,256 poor expats attended and took advantage of the medical aid offered.

The camp was inaugurated by Indian Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Subhashish Goldar and presided by Farooq Hamadani, Vice President and official in charge of Kuwait KMCC Medical wing. Kuwait KMCC President K.T.P.Abdul Rahiman, General Secretary P.A.Abdul Gafoor Wayanad, Treasurer M.K.Abdul Razaq, other office bearers Iqbal Maviladam, Ateeq Kollam, M.R. Naser, Salam Chettippadi, Subair Koduvally, Former office bearers Sherafudhin Kanneth, Basheer Batha, Rauf Mashoor Thangal, Indian Doctors Forum President Dr. Abbay, Dr. Syed Abdul Rahiman, Dr. Siraj, Dr. Prathap Unnithan, Dr. Hashim Abdul Aziz, Dr. Ameer, Dr. Sushobhna, Dr. Philippos George, Indian Integrated School Manager Mr. Mohamedali, Mr. Shaheed Pattillath and Mr. Sathar delivered felicitation speech. Medical Wing Chairman Dr. Abudl Hameed welcomed the audience and Treasurer Mohamed Manoli delivered vote of thanks. Famous Indian Islamic Scholar M.M. Akbar visited the camp.

Despite the weather conditions, a large number of people gathered at the camp very early in the morning. Fully computerized registration facility helped people gain access to the required specialist without any time delay.  Medical tests such as Ultra Sound Scan, ECG, Cholesterol, Sugar, Blood Pressure, BMI and more were available at the camp.

The organizers arranged specialists from various departments such as Cardiology, Nephrology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dental, Pediatric, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Dermatology, Physiotherapy, and more. There was even a Pharmacy that distributed free medicines for all the patients. Breast Cancer Tests were available to women patients above 35 years, and three suspected cases of Breast Cancer were found.

Indian Doctors Forum, Kuwait Heart Foundation, Indian Dental Alliance, Saudi Pharmaceuticals, Patient Helping Fund, Dar Optical and Ashraf & Company supported the Mega Medical Camp.

The camp was wonderful and remarkable in its way of organizing, arrangement of various departments, medical equipment, Patient Registration and Crowd Management.
