KKCA Conducted Christmas & New Year Celebrations

Kuwait Knanaya Cultural Association celebrated Christmas and New Year together with its Annual General Body Meeting at Indian Community School, Khaitan on 3rd January 2014. The colorful program began with the carol songs by different areas.

Miss Priya ThomasMullappally introduced the guests to the audience. Joint Secretary Mr. Semi Chavarattu welcomed the gathering. The function was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Antony Chettipuzha by lighting the traditional lamp and cutting the Christmas cake. Fr. Prakash Thomas OFM gave the Christmas message. The President of KKCA Mr. Johnson Mathew presided over the meeting and conveyed his presidential message. Felicitation speeches were given by Master AlbinSabu representing the KKCL. The Vote of Thanks was extended by Mr. JosekuttyPuthenthara the Joint treasurer of KKCA. KKCA General Secretary Mr. Sijo Abraham presented the annual report and Treasure Mr. RegiAzhakedam read out the annual income and expenses report.  F.S.S annual report was presented by its Convener Mr. TomyPraladyil.

The public meeting was followed by variety of cultural programs,Shinkarimelamarangettamand orchestra by famous singers from the KKCA community like RemsyPerikkalloor,Joby Jose and Biju Simon .

Election to the office bearers of KKCA for the year 2014 was conducted during this General Body Meeting. Presided by Mr. MathachanKappukalayil, the members of the association unanimously elected Mr. TomyPraladiyil as President, Mr. ShinsonKurian as General Secretary, Mr. Reny Abraham as Treasurer and elected other Committee Members.

Visiting parents and new couples were honored and Merit Certificates with trophies were awarded to the children who scored highest marks from 1st to 10th Class.
