KEF Infrastructure revolutionizing the construction industry through technology

As the world’s largest integrated facility for offsite construction spanning one million square feet KEF Infrastructure India is a company that is slowly but surely transforming the landscape of India.

KEF Infrastructure Pvt Ltd was founded in 2014 by Faisal and his wife Shabana Kottikollon, who wanted to bring state-of-the-art infrastructure creation in India. The technology driven infrastructure manufacturing company is dedicated to transforming the way that building and basic services are created and delivered in India by revolutionising production using world class technology.

KEF Infra invested over $100 million to set up an industrial park on the outskirts of Bangalore in Tamil Nadu. Through this park KEF has been manufacturing techonology to build hospitals, hotels, schools and homes offering design, engineering, manufacturing pre cast concrete structures, modular rooms, bathroom pods and MEP, joinery (wood-working) glazing and stone processing solutions, and overall project management support for clients like Sands Infra, Malabar Gold, Brigade, Mahindra, Bhartiya City, Leela and At One amongst others. The Krishnagiri factory has specialised individual factory units for these with world-class technology and KEF Infra is expanding its offering to hotels, retail stores and other commercial units through these new offerings

In 2017, KEF Infra delivered the 400,000 sq ft Meitra hospital (500 beds in two phases in Kerala in record time of 18 months and manufactured 175 public canteens and 20 kitchens as part of Karnataka government project, in addition it handed over 1.7 million square feet commercial building in 13.5 months and 500,000 sq ft of Infosys Building Phase 2.

Currently, the firm is executing a 1 million square feet college hospital in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, 262 Canteens across Karnataka, in addition to other projects. It is also building the first pre-fabricated mall in India in Luknow.

Faizal added, “The year 2017 was monumental for us at KEF Infra, during which we have gained the trust of numerous top companies. This has helped us to cement our position as industry leaders in the off-site construction space and fuel our drive to create sustainable and inclusive development.”

Faizal is also a member of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s prestigious panel of Champions of Change for Infrastructure. A humanitarian at heart he is the Co-founder and Director of the Faizal and Shabana Foundation that is giving back by creating sustainable initiatives to build a more equitable society.

As successful entrepreneurs Faisal and his wife Shabana have accomplished social entrepreneurship that have impacted the lives of thousands through their foundation. Deeply committed to social improvement, Shabana is also the Co-Founder and Director of the Faizal and Shabana Foundation that seeks to give back to society by making a lasting and sustainable difference in the field of education and youth intervention, regenerative sustainable development, healthcare and wellness support, humanitarian aid and assistance, community outreach and support and art and culture development.

In recognition of their work, Shabana and Faizal won the 2015 AIF (American India Foundation) Leadership Award for “Excellence in entrepreneurship and philanthropy.” Shabana has also won the 2016 – Kairali TV, NRI Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
