Japanese Embassy sponsors origami tutorial for students
December 1, 2015, 5:21 pm

The Japanese Embassy in Kuwait organized an origami workshop on 26 November at Jhon Al-Kuwait Model Primary School for Girls.  School Principal Hanan Al-Matrouk, students, school staff and guests participated in the workshop which hosted the famous origami artist Komiya Hajime, who demonstrated the art of origami.

Everyone present enjoyed following Mr. Komiya's instructions and copied his steps to recreate the shapes. They started with a paper copter, followed by a heart ring, and finally, they were involved in a massive project, which entailed the girls and some teachers working on small items, before Mr. Komiya gathered all the pieces to form a big elaborate unit that was dedicated to the school.
