Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works for the Sector of Roads Eng. Ahmad Al-Hassan said on Tuesday that construction works of the KD 165.7-million Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge has reached 23 percent.
In a press release, Al-Hassan said works on the project are steadily continuing as scheduled, pointing to fervent efforts to speed up the vital project. Al-Hassan added that the bridge project comes within the framework of the integrated development plan of the State of Kuwait, noting that once completed, the project would link between the northern area of Kuwait City with the densely populated central and southern areas, and will shorten distance between Kuwait and the city of Subbiya.
Furthermore, it will provide a strategic way that supports the future development plans of the northern region, he pointed out.
