Minister of Commerce and Industry Yousif Al-Ali said on Saturday that the First International Trade Fair scheduled between 21-27 February would support foreign investors and open fresh promotional vistas.
The fair, due to be held at the Kuwait International Fair Ground, is part of efforts to fulfill a goal to convert Kuwait into a regional and global financial and commercial center, active and vibrant in the region, the minister said in a press release.
The event is expected to attract governmental, local and international organizations and agencies from over 20 Arab and foreign countries, he said, adding that it comes as a time when the government is doing its utmost to diversify the country's sources of national income.
The fair would contribute to developing and supporting the trade sector and boosting foreign investment in light of the new investment promotion law, the minister pointed out. Patronized by H.H. the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the fair will be held under the theme: ‘Kuwait is the World's Business Heart’.
