Int'l Org. chooses eminent Kuwaiti woman among world top influential ladies

The Global Water Intelligence organization has selected the eminent Kuwaiti woman, Zamzam Saleh Al-Rakaf, as among the world top 20 ladies in terms of influential decision making in the water sector, putting her in the 15th rank.

Al-Rakaf, who serves as the deputy chief engineer at the water distillation projects department at the Ministry of Electricity, said in remarks that her selection among these influential women, in addition to her service as Chairwoman of the International Desalination Association were results of her hard work at work for years. The honored Kuwaiti personality added that she was the first female engineer to serve in the ministry, where she accomplished nine water desalination projects.

She indicated that most of the ladies chosen by the international organization are of high scientific qualifications and serve in the water field.
