The Indian Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Sunil Jain was a special guest at the Kuwait University Faculty of Arts where the embassy donated books on Indian culture to the University’s library on Monday. During the official ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts Dr. Hayat Al-Hajji felicitated the Indian Ambassador with a small token of appreciation.
In his speech, Mr. Jain lauded the relationship between the two countries, saying that Kuwaitis have good relations with India. He mentioned that the Indian Embassy in Kuwait offers an open five-year visa for Kuwaiti citizen who are planning to visit the country, one of its many facilitation services. He also touched on the embassy’s efforts to highlight many positive aspects of modern India to the general public, particularly its growing commerce and tourism industry.
The Ambassador agreed with Dr. Al-Hajji’s suggestion about designating a Kuwait - India day to discuss and promote the culture and heritage of both countries. In response, Dr. Al-Hajji expressed her thanks for the support of the Indian embassy towards facilitating bilateral academic ties and enriching the Faculty's library with educational books on Indian culture.
