Two Indians were arrested by Farwaniya security officers in possession of 206 bottles of local brew. The suspects admitted distributing liquor to their compatriot clients and were referred with the contraband to the General Drug Control Department. The arrest followed instructions from the Interior Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Abdul Fattah Al-Ali to pursue violators of law.
Meanwhile, officers from the special task force arrested a Bangladeshi expatriate in Farwaniya area for trafficking in narcotics. He was in possession of 95 narcotic pills. The suspect confessed taking illicit drugs from another person to sell and was referred to the concerned authority for necessary action. Also, officers from the Drug Control General Department arrested an Iranian expatriate in Maidan Hawalli for possessing sharp tools and narcotic substances.
