New Delhi: Oil companies have cut petrol prices by Rs 1.09 per litre with effect from midnight tonight. However, diesel prices have been hiked by 50 paise per litre.

Even the prices of non-subsidised LPGs have been reduced by Rs 2.50 per cylinder.

This is the first drop in petrol prices since April. In June, petrol price had been hiked by a steep Rs 1.69 per litre while diesel price had been increased by 50 paise a litre.
