The music emanated from violins, bass guitars, percussion instruments in sync with soulful vocals not only elicited feelings of joy and delight but also elevated the spirits of music maniacs among Bhavanites. The students and the teachers of IES Kuwait (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan) had the pleasing privilege of experiencing music in the most enchanting way when a band of musicians namely The LightenupQ8 performed exclusively for the secondary students of Bhavan Kuwait on 17 February 2015.

The LightenupQ8 band is a non-profit organization cum music band that works with the distressed youth to help them save their souls. The band is a gathering of likeminded people who had fought against their destiny and emerged victorious. The members of the band shared their experience with the students and advised them never to lose their hearts when they face predicaments in life.

The band cast a spell on the audience with a bunch of melodious numbers.  Well-known singer Sheldon Bangera touched a chord with his soul-stirring melodies. Mr.Sheldon also spoke to the youngsters about the importance of self-discipline and determination to materialize their dreams. Mr. Praveen Madhavan, a well-known toastmaster and a promoter of LightenupQ8 music band also spoke to the students. The band also presented three skits highlighting the importance of values in life. The skits and music performance received ardent admiration from the onlookers.

Through the show, the band conveyed the message that no matter how hard life seems to be, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Success depends upon the right choices made at the right time. The team wished the students the very best and exhorted them not to give up as they were born to win and not to lose.

The lightenupQ8 team thanked the Bhavan Management for providing them with a platform to perform before a young but dynamic audience. Principal of IES Mr.T. Premkumar thanked the band for their selfless service to the youth. He appreciated their sincere efforts to help the distrait and the distressed youth of Kuwait.

When everyone dispersed after the program, broad smiles were seen on every face. Every heart had a new hope, a new dream and a new path, which they owed to the LightenupQ8 band.
