IYS stages fantastic ‘Badshah’ concert

Indian Youth Society (IYS) hit a milestone in the history of Indian entertainment in Kuwait with their highly successful show, ‘Badshah’ at the Amphitheater of Al Shaheed Park on 28 April. The large crowd of members of various nationalities enjoyed a once in a lifetime experience watching the dynamic King of Rap ‘Badshah’ in his live performance. The show was also attended by many Kuwaiti fans as well.

An evening where the torch lights of thousands of mobile phones glittered and was accompanied by tapping feet and dance moves from the audience members, who cherished every moment of the concert.

Prior to the show, the host Neeta Bhatkar and Shakir Shaikh interviewed the Badshah fans, who shared their amazement and excitement over the performance. This was one of the first shows ever showcasing an Indian performer at the Al Shaheed Park Amphitheater, which added extra praise to the Badshah concert.

The event started with the felicitation of top sponsors and the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Sunil Jain and his wife, who enthusiastically supported the event and appreciated the efforts of Shabbir Qamar - President of IYS and his team. "We have a long way to go and this is just a beginning," said Mr. Qamar, who thanked the sponsors, audiences and his team members for accomplishing such an event.

Badshah was accompanied by upcoming Bollywood singer Aastha Gill and Gurinder Rai. The trio rocked the stage with back to back hit numbers from the Badshah repertoire, including ‘Kaala Chashma’, ‘Tamma-Tamma’, ‘Merci’ and ‘Abhi To Party Shuru Huyi Hai’ among others. The performers conquered the hearts of everyone present in the park.

IYS has brought great artists like the comedy king Kapil Sharma, legendary singer Udit Narayan, Dance Deva Prabhu Deva, Dance master Terence Lewis, Geeta Kapoor, Altaf Raja, Sughanda Mishra and Sabri brothers. The association is eager to feature more great artists and other great shows.

Platinum Sponsor for the event was The Al-Shaheed Park, Diamond sponsor was OnCost, Golden Sponsor was Advance Technology Company, Silver Sponsor was TIK TOK and the Bronze Sponsor was Bookey.
