IEI Kuwait Chapter’s held the ‘Ladies Wing’Meet

The enthusiastic and energetic ladies of the ladies wing of Institution of Engineers of India, Kuwait gathered at Sujatha Elangovan’s residence in Salmiya Kuwait on Saturday, 25 October, 2014, around 5 pm to attend workshops to be conducted by Engr. Anu Kurien and Ms. Thennal Jimmy.  Ladies wing member, Bhagyashri Koranne welcomed the gathering and invited Engr. Anu Kurien to start her presentation. 

Engr. Anu came out with the most innovative techniques of making a garden out of kitchen waste. She explained in detail how the home gardens can be made with the help of the parts of the vegetables that are normally thrown away daily, with the help of a power point presentation.  The techniques were very simple and easily adoptable at each and every home.  It was a very fruitful session and worth trying by everybody in their homes.

This was followed by the much awaited session on 'Cup Cake Decoration' by Thennal Jimmy.  Ms. Jimmy gave a live demonstration of methods to decorate a cup cake, and each member of the ladies wing had hands-on experience and tried out the artwork with great enthusiasm.

Ms. Jimmy explained every detail of the decoration patiently and encouraged all the members to try out the same. She also gave the details of the availability of materials for the cup cake decoration.  As the highlight of the event the cup cakes were given to the members for tasting.  Every member of the ladies wing lauded the efforts of Ms. Jimmy in decorating the cup cakes.

Ms. Elangovan proposed a vote of thanks and the workshops ended with serving of snacks, juice tea and of course, the decorated cakes.  Er. Joseph Panicker, Chairman, Er. Inbatamizh Ilangovan, Auditor, Er. Senthil Sundararajan, Treasurer and Er. Ashish Koranne, EC member were also present.  Er. Joseph Panicker appreciated the initiative undertaken by the ladies wing of IEI to spend their time fruitfully and requested the ladies to participate in all IEI activities whole-heartedly. Elated Ladies left to their homes with a sense of accomplishment.
