IDF selects new Office Bearers during annual meeting

The Indian Doctors Forum (IDF) conducted its Annual General Body meeting on 20 May at the Regency Hotel, Salmiya. 

The team of Office Bearers led by President Dr. VinodGrover having completed their tenure of two years handed over the reins of the IDF to a new team of Office Bearers during this event. The meeting started with scintillating music, art  and dance performances by the IDF children which was coordinated and conducted by Dr. Anantapriya and Dr. Anila.

The official program started with a welcome address by Dr. Vivek B Wani, the outgoing Vice President. Dr. Vinod Grover the outgoing President thanked the members and the Executive committee for their cooperation throughout the last two years.

Dr. Jaffer Ismail presented an account of various social services and cultural activities conducted by the IDF in the last one year. Dr. Sameer Humad the Treasurer and Dr. Nazim Parker the Assistant Treasurer presented financial accounts of IDF. Dr. Senthil and Dr. Manish Rijhwani the Web masters of the IDF coordinated the power point presentations.

The IDF honored its members Dr. George Philipose who attended all the medical camps for the last two years and Dr. Sebastian Mathews for conducting one of the most popular programs of IDF,  the health quiz for Indian Students in Kuwait for the last several years.

Dr. Ramkumar Gupta a senior member of the IDF who officiated as Election Officer for this year to conduct the election of new  Office Bearers for the tenure of 2016-18. He announced the names of the anonymously elected  Office Bearers and wished them all the best.

Dr.Abhay Patwari the newly elected President of the IDF thanked the members for electing him and his team and promised to continue the good work being done by the IDF.

The last part of the program was entertaining and exhilarating dance and music  performances by the IDF members. This part of the program was coordinated and choreographed by Dr. Ambalvanan the Secretary for Cultural events  The program ended with delicious dinner.
