Indian Community School Kuwait (ICSK) will be organizing an Indian Schools’ Mega Arts Fest for the students of all Indian Schools in Kuwait on 1 and 2 December, from 8am to 8pm.
Around 2000 students are expected to take part in this grand event, which will include 80 different items, organized on six stages at three venues (Icsk Senior, Amman and Junior).
This cultural fiesta, a historic event, will be organized for the first time in the Middle East Region and Kuwait with a large number of items for competition.
The main aim behind this event is to provide a platform to showcase the artistic flair of the budding talents belonging to the Indian Diaspora.
Students from KG to Class 12 are expected to partake in this Mega Fest.
Registration will be restricted through schools as only the best from each school will compete in this event.
Competitions will be held under five categories: Category I ( Classes LKG, UKG and 1), Category II (Classes 2, 3 and 4), Category III (Classes 5, 6 and 7), Category IV (Classes 8, 9 and 10) and Category V (Classes 11 and 12).
The result of each competition will be declared within 15 minutes of the completion of the event.
Best performers in each category will be conferred the title of Kalaprathibha (male) and Kalathilak (female), and will also be awarded with ½ sovereign gold. The event will also be telecasted live (icsk-kw.com/ISMAF2016/Live.php).
The Inaugural Ceremony will commence on 1 December at 8am at ICSK Senior. Along with this, teacher representatives (Principals) of all Indian schools will be recognized.
The dignitaries for the ceremony will include chief guest H.E. Matthew James Lodge (Ambassador of Britain to Kuwait), Guest of Honour Sudha Chandran (Cine Artist and Dancer) and special guest Maryam Abdul Rahman Dashti (Dept. of Middle and High School, Ministry of Pvt. Education).
The valedictory ceremony and prize distribution will be held on 2 December at 6pm, at ICSK senior. The dignitaries for the valedictory ceremony will include, chief guest H.E. Sunil Jain (Ambassador of India to Kuwait) and special guest Oscar Award Winner Padma Shri Dr. Resul Pookutty. Dr. Pookutty will be giving away more than 500 prizes to the winners of different competitions.
On the sidelines, a music concert will be held Stephen Devassy .
A press conference was held at the ICSK senior branch where Dr. Binumon and General Convenor of the Indian Schools’ Mega Arts Fest 2016 convened a conference. Also present for the conference were Honorable Secretary Board of Trustees A. Amer Mohammed, Rajesh Nair Principal ICSK Amman, Joint Convenor Sunish Mathew and Programme Committee Convenor Jacob George were present.
