Mohammed Mishal of Class XII of the Indian Community School Kuwait - Senior (ICSK), has won the most prodigious and most coveted ‘Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Pearl of Kuwait 2017’ award. Thanima in collaboration with Asianet hosted this prestigious competition, which is an arduous quest to find the academic celebrity in Kuwait.

This contest was to find and honour the most outstanding student who can be a role-model to the +70,000 strong Indian School students in Kuwait. Twenty-one students, one each from every Indian School in Kuwait were nominated as the ‘Pearl of the School’ for this fierce competition. Pearls of different Indian schools competed against each other to bag the most prestigious ‘Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Pearl of Kuwait 2017’ title.  ‘Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Pearl of Kuwait 2017’ Award contest mainly comprised of five sections with 100 points.

1. Online voting-20 points, 2. Extempore Speech-20 points,3. Quiz-30 point, 4. Team work- 15 points 5. Leadership and Organization skills-15 points

Since the criteria for selection was not limited to academics only, as in most other cases, this served as a motivation for all the students who competed to come out of the shell they were confined to and expand their horizon for a real change in their perspective towards education and life. We hope that this amazing success will motivate the students of ICSK Senior, to perform and excel by showcasing their skills thereby uncovering and unleashing their aptitude and creative flair.

The Management, Staff and Students of ICSK Senior congratulate Mohammed Mishal for his astounding achievement and wish this child prodigy success in all his future endeavours.
