Indian Community School Kuwait (ICSK) Junior celebrated 68th Republic day of India with assemblies reflecting the theme on 23 and 24 January. The corridors and class rooms were decorated to ring in the festive spirit.
Assemblies began with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran followed by the school prayer. The tri-colour was hoisted by the principal in charge Shirley Dennis and the students took the pledge in honour of their incredible country. Thought for the day depicted the importance of this day.
The tiny tots from KG performed a wonderful dance praising the motherland, followed by a speech reminding citizens about their duties towards India. A patriotic song which followed the dance highlighted the unique features of India and how proud Indians are to be called Indians.

The prizes for the winners CCA Competitions for the month of January were given after which the assembly was dispersed with the singing of Indian National Anthem.
