ICSK Amman goes green on World Environment Day

The Indian Community School Kuwait (ICSK), Amman celebrated World Environment Day on 5 June for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment. Various programs were organized by the school senate to educate the students to be one with nature by adapting natural ways of life and protecting the environment. The day began with the senate members addressing the school through Radio Amman on the significance of the day and interactive session with parents and teachers on various issues related to environment and pollution.

'Beat Plastic Pollution', the theme for World Environment Day 2018 is to call for action from all of us to come together to combat one of the greatest environmental challenges of our time - plastic pollution.

Special assembly was conducted on the occasion and the Principal Rajesh Nair distributed saplings to teachers who come from different parts of Kuwait and were the green ambassadors of the day carrying the green wave motion all over Kuwait on their way back home.

The programme was well appreciated and students took part in a number of competitions like slogan writing, poster and chart making and inter house quiz competitions.
