IAK organizes Summer Fest 2018

Idukki Association Kuwait (IAK) conducted its Summer Fest 2018, ‘Ullasathreem‘ on 19 and 20 April at the Julaiya Beach Resort.

IAK President Biju P Anto presided over the inaugural function and General Secretary Mathew Areepparampil delivered the welcome note. Program General Convener Joseph Mookenthotathil inaugurated the Summer Fest. Vice President Joseph Varghese Makkollil, Advisory board chairman Jiji Mathew and Ex. General Secretaries Preeth Jose and Sibi John felicitated the Summer Fest.

Various programs and beach games were organized for the participants.

Musical Album’s shooting was one of the highlights of Ullasathreem. IAK Media convener and famous DOP Sijo M Abraham directed the Musical Video Album for the song written by Secretary Joby Joseph. 

IAK is always at the forefront of helping the needy and has completed a housing and family welfare fund project in Idukki, for Navaneeth Jayachandran and his grandmother Ponnamma Ramakrishnanthru its IAK- Dewdrops. Their Advisory board member Ivy Alex Parumthuveetil attended the key handover ceremony of the house by the collective efforts of Idukki Association Kuwait and M/S. Global International General Trading & Cont. Company which was held on 23 March, and shared its details with Associations members during the Summer Fest Inaugural function. 

The summer fest also saw acomedy skit directed by the cultural convener Benny Augustine and staged by IAK members.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner was served under the supervision of food committee convener Bino Joseph and team.

The fest concluded with a tug-of-war competition for children and the prize distribution for the winners of various sports and games. The prizes were presented by the executive and advisory board members. The program committee arranged special gifts for all the children who participated for the Summer Fest. IAK

Treasurer Jomon Jacob expressed his vote of thanks to all committee members for their selfless work in making the Summer Fest a grand success, and all the members for coming and sharing their valuable time and making the Ullasathreem a memorable one.
